Johnnie Walker is an absolutely gorgeous puppy with an outstanding personality. Johnnie unfortunately had a bit of a traumatic start to life. Sometime within the first two days of birth, his mother amputated the tip of his penis while she was cleaning his umbilical cord. Dog moms' instinctually lick and chew their puppies umbilical cords to clean them and help prevent injury and infection. Unfortunately for Johnnie, an injury to a different area occurred. The original injury healed on it's own but his urethral opening was so small that it was difficult for him to urinate. On February 16th he had surgery to expand the opening. The surgery went well and his sutures were removed on February 29th. Johnnie is now ready to find his new family, but there is a chance he may need an additional surgery when he reaches 50-60 pounds. There are more details than can be easily written here, but I am happy to discuss with anyone that is interested in him. What is important is that he is an otherwise healthy puppy and for the time being, the issue has been corrected. This guy is going make someone a fantastic pet and he is likely going to adapt to a new home quicker than his littermates. He hasn't been able to stay in the same pen as the other puppies since his surgery, so he is used to sleeping on his own, going for car rides, and has a head start on house training. Due to this, I would still like full asking price for him. Should the need for another surgery arise, I will cover the cost.
